I have quit caffeine for quite some time, but at times I unknowingly consume beverages that have caffeine in them. Gonna start listing those that have and avoid them.

1.Coffee (duh)
2. Tea
3. Cola
4. Red Bull
5. Kickapoo (realised recently)
6. Mountain Dew (realised it today, nooo! another of my fav drink)

Hopefully that's all, 5 and 6 are one of my favourites. =(

Work

I have just started work for a week at my alma mater, The Chinese High School, now known as Hwa Chong Institution (sadly no more 'The'), as a temporary full time teaching assistant. Yes, temporary means for a short term only, full time meaning a fix set of hours everyday. People ( I think mainly Singaporeans) always misuse the term part time as temporary. I digressed a bit but it seems to irritate me a lot.

Okay, back about work. Work is from 0720 - 1630, a standard '8-5' job. Yeah when I say '8-5', I mean standard office work hrs, not literally 8-5. It's a metaphor. I start early, and end early, which gives me a lot of time to do my own stuff after work. But I'm amazed at how I could wake up at 5 everyday when in my secondary school years without any difficulty. Yet I'm struggling to get up for work every morning. One could easily dismiss it as age taking its toll on me, but what about my teachers? They are well ahead of me in the journey of life and they don't seem to be at all tired. In fact, they look very much alive and fresh to me.

Anyway, I'm also here to debunk a myth that the majority ignorant people who doesn't know anything about my school and hence assumes stereotypes of our students. Yes, we started out as Chinese School, but that was like ages ago. It doesn't mean that we are 'cheena' and can't speak English to save our lives. When i went into class, all of them speak English relatively well. Just because we have the word 'Chinese' in the name doesn't mean we speak only 'Chinese'. That because no one speaks Chinese. Chinese is not a language, Mandarin is. For your information, it means a school for immigrant Chinese.

Just like that, and my uneventful weekend comes to an end. It is not that 2 days wasn't long enough to rest, but how I spent it makes it seems as though I haven't enjoyed myself for another week long of work.

Maybe I'm not fated to get the Pixon, or rather the Viewty Smart deserves a second chance for its minor screw up. With a little software upgrade and cleaning up, hopefully it doesn't fail me again. But somehow or rather, I can foresee myself getting the Pixon 12 in the near future... hehe

The Return of the Trampoline Boy

After like 3 yrs of little basketball activity, I think I can safely say (touchwood) I'm back at full health, months of consistent balling seem relatively pain free, and my hops are more or less back. Still kinda miss the hops i used to have 4 yrs ago. Well guess that getting old doesn't really help.

But the Trampoline Boy has return... :)

Exams

Exams are over! After a period of absence, I'm back again. Not that I have been studying. C'mon, those who knows me, knows that I don't study... Haha... So here comes the void left behind after every exam, besides FYP, I will be back active in basketball, and trying to squeeze in gym sessions and swimming.

I have a lot of things in mind I wanna buy, but didn't have the cash and time then, so now I'm gonna make a list of what things I should be buying.

1.Nike Air Zoom Kobe IV ( I know it's a Nike so it won't last, but I'm still a sucker for the design)

2. A pair of Nike/Adidas sneakers for walking

3. Spalding Tacksoft Basketball

Hm, what else? Argh, I can't think, too stoned. When I can remember I'll add to the list...

Taking a cab breezing through the KJE definately brought back memories...

The roaring of the D16 at 4500 revs charging towards the slope of the flyover, the correction of plentiful of bump steers, the blurring of the view through the windshield (okies, i lied, things seems to be slower at high speeds, time seem to slow down), the jerk as we hit the slope of the flyover, the fear to continue flooring the pedal, yet the adrenaline satisfaction refuses me to let go. We seem to be chasing something, but what was it, we don't know... Its just man and machine in unison...

Now it seems, there is something lacking in my life...

Finally bball in like 2 mths? Attachment plus tuition = no time for bball. Excited becoz i wanna see the result of my hops programme. Of course, only to be dampen by the fact that my shoulder injury is worse than i thought. I can't complete a a jumpshot motion with a ball (duh). Halfway through my arm lost strength.
Alright, so i just play limited offense, and concentrate on defense. The good thing is, the hops programme has a positive side effect, my stamina increased. There was this 'bull' which both seng and roger can't defend, so according to roger, i'm the strongest of the 3 of us, is assigned to defend him. He like to post, so though i never like to initiate contact, i like defending in the post. He was quite phyiscal, but i fine with it. Then he started to foul like mad, like pushing off fouls, clearing out fouls, but i kept quiet. After battling under the basket for quite sometime, he accuses me of fouling. LOL! Dude, if you wanna play rough, don't whine like a pussy if you can't win. You can't even win someone who has one shoulder left. Things got heated up, and they decided that we should stay clear from each other.
On a lighter note, I can say that i'm quite satisfied from my hops programme. Jump height was slightly higher after a few weeks, but more importantly I was more explosive in the jumps and had a longer hangtime. Can't wait to finish the programme and see the end results.
Regarding my shoulders, I probably hurt it significantly few weeks back (Don't ask me why, I dunno). Will see a specialist after my attachment which will end this week. I don't think its very serious, but it will require medical attention to recover and not cause more damage. Hopefully the recovery won't be too long.

Ironical as it seems, sometimes the only words that can comfort me, is the roar of redlining a car. It is only voice that can soothe my heart. Screaming in harmony with me, tearing the roads apart, everything seems to disappear. Vision starts to blur, time starts to slow down, adrenaline rises, anarchy takes over. Nothing is left in the mind. As we return, heat from the engine bay, burning smell of rubber, somewhat produces a satisfying feel.
